Insurance 101 - Why do I need an agent?

Technology is a wonderful thing. If it is used properly it can really simplify our lives. But technology can’t replace the knowledge of a trained professional.

Technology is a wonderful thing. If it is used properly it can really simplify our lives. I am very thankful for online family calendars, online banking, email and MapQuest... not to mention Gig Harbor Patch. Social websites allow us to keep in touch with friends and family around the globe. You can even buy your groceries online. What can’t you do or find online?

You can go online and find videos and plans on how to build a home. However, if you don’t have any experience in building homes I wouldn’t recommend it. There is no way that I would ever be able to build a house that would ever pass any inspection. It wouldn’t matter how much time I spent online studying how to do it.

Building an insurance plan to protect you and your family is very similar. You can go online and learn about insurance and all of the available options. However, just like building a home, technology will never be able to replace the knowledge of a trained professional.

Not only can an insurance professional help you build your insurance plan, they will be there for you in the future. This is someone that knows you and your family and can make appropriate suggestions on evolving you insurance plan as your needs change. An insurance professional is the friendly familiar voice on the other end of the phone that can answer your questions about your coverage. And most importantly your personal agent will be there for you when something happens, and help you through the process of a claim.

I am of the belief that in today’s tech heavy world there is still a place for personal service. You deserve to have an agent that knows you and your family. You deserve the peace that comes from knowing that you are covered if something were to happen. You deserve a family insurance professional.

No problem. Welcome Brent. By the way, I'm a graphic artist, have any need for ad design?
