This final visit of the touring exhibit to Seattle has inspired several events and activities in honor of King Tut’s (probably) last visit to the Pacific Northwest. Here are a few of these in case you want to learn a little more about our temporary visitor from Ancient Egypt.

The Pacific Science Center is presenting a series of lectures at Town Hall Seattle by world famous experts on Ancient Egypt who will be discussing some latest, and sometimes controversial, scientific discoveries in their fields.
All lectures start at Town Hall Seattle at 7:30 pm with doors opening at 6:30. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for Pacific Science Center members, and $5 for students with school ID. Early ticket purchases are recommended. Here is a list of the topics and dates for each of the scheduled lectures.
One of the upcoming lectures that comes highly recommended is "Wrath of the Gods - Disease and Deceased in the Ancient World" by Dr. Angelique Corthals, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pathology at Stony Brook University Medical School. It is on Tuesday, Nov 20th. The study of ancient civilizations is now being enhanced through the use of forensic and genetic techniques. Dr. Corthals will discuss the use of forensic anthropology in the search for Queen Hatshepsut's lost mummy as well as diseases, landscapes, and climate change in ancient Egypt.

Find the clues scatter throughout the maze to be entered into a drawing for free passes to the Pacific Science Center King Tut Exhibit, an overnight stay in Seattle courtesy of the Mayflower Park Hotel, or a gift certificate for a dinner for 4 at a Seattle restaurant.
They estimate that it takes approximately one hour to find your way thorugh the corn maze and find the clues.
