Tacoma (and Gig Harbor) Restaurant Week

It’s almost here!  The first annual Tacoma Restaurant Week!  But that name is entirely misleading…it’s actually for almost TWO weeks and (like it could get any better) three of our outstanding local establishments were chosen, by committee vote, to be among the 25 restaurants participating.  But I guess “First Annual Tacoma and Gig Harbor Restaurant Ten Day Event” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it so I’ll let it slide this time.  But I expect a name change to at least acknowledge Gig Harbor’s inclusion next year!

This is how it works.  Between April 15th and 26th, Sunday through Thursdays only, these restaurants will offer a three course dinner for only $25 a person (excluding alcoholic beverages, tax, and gratuity.)  The menus I’ve seen from the Gig Harbor restaurants are simply amazing.  Each restaurant offers three choices for each of the three courses so there is something for everyone.  Some restaurants will also be offering a $15 three course lunch.

Created by the Weekly Volcano newspaper and a group of local restaurateurs, this is a wonderful opportunity to try a new restaurant or visit a favorite.  I plan to do both!
