VIDEO: What's the Secret to Everlasting Love?

In honor of Valentine's Day, five couples from the area share stories about how they met and some advice to lasting relationships.

Valentine’s Day is only a day away, and in honor of the holiday, Patch asked five local couples, who have been married for several decades, to share stories about their sweethearts and some wise advice to lasting relationships.

Molly and Quentin Clark of Sumner, both 85 years old, first met at Eastern Washington University and both became teachers.

“It’s easier to understand what you’re going through when the other person is doing the same thing you are,” said Molly Clark, who married Quentin 64 years ago.

“It’s important to support each other in whatever enterprise you’re involved with,” Quentin Clark said. “That really makes for camaraderie.”

Watch the video above for stories and advice for the couples.

In the meantime, we are hoping to fill this photo gallery with photos of local couples and words of advice from our readers. Can you help us out?

All you have to do is post a photo of you and your significant other and include in the caption your advice on what keeps your relationship strong.

Posting a photo is simple--here is what you will need to do:

  1. Click on "Upload Photos and Videos" button right above the photo gallery
  2. Select a photo of yourself and your significant other
  3. Add a caption with your names, duration of marriage and/or piece of advice

Thank you, Akiko! Just wondering if there was some other reason for it that I didn't see. :)

No problem. Welcome Brent. By the way, I'm a graphic artist, have any need for ad design?
