The FBI is asking for the public's help in identifying additional victims of a serial killer who admitted to killing a couple in Washington state.

Israel Keyes was arrested in March 2012 for the abduction and murder of Samantha Koenig in Anchorage, Alaska. He subsequently admitted to several other killings around the country starting in 2001, including the murder of a couple at an unknown location in Washington sometime between 2001 and 2005.

Keyes committed suicide in his Anchorage jail cell in December 2012.

Officials say Keyes lived in Neah Bay, Wash., from 2001 to 2007 and may have committed other murders in Washington. He also admitted to dumping the body of at least one of his victims in a lake near Port Angeles. He traveled throughout the county to commit his crimes and targeted victims in remote areas such as parks, campgrounds and boating areas, according to the FBI.

FBI officials say agents in Seattle are working with local law enforcement throughout Washington to review unsolved homicides and missing person cases for any possible ties to Keyes. At this point, they do not believe he is connected to the 2006 deaths of Mary Cooper and her daughter Susanna Stodden near Pinnacle Lake in Snohomish County.

The FBI has set up a website with extensive information about Keyes, including an interactive timelime, map and videos of him discussing his crimes. Anyone with information that may be relevant to Keyes is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
