On April 30, 911 was called because an employee was locked in a supply closet and unable to get out. The locking mechanism on the door was broken. Firefighters attempted to unlock the door by using the keypad without success. They then tried to manipulate and open the lock past the jamb. The employee locked in the closet also attempted to help by unscrewing the lock faceplate on her side of the door. Finally unable to open the door without damage, firefighters used the halligan tool (a special tool used by firefighters to make forcible entry) to force the lock and break it. There was limited damage to the door, and the employee was not injured.

On May 1, firefighters responded to a complaint of a smell of burning plastic and found a small fire containing rubbish and pressure treated lumber in an earthen pit. They explained to the homeowner that it is illegal to burn garbage or treated lumber and extinguished the fire with a garden hose.
