Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One responded to a reported house fire. Paramedics also assisted a man after he fell down some stairs after passing out.

On June 25, paramedics were called to evaluate an 85-year-old female who reported of being weak on one side and was having difficulty talking. Family members said she was fine earlier but did complain of a headache. After a brief evaluation by medics, she was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

On June 26, firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire. Upon arrival, the residents said they heard the smoke alarm go off and found that the curtains in the back bedroom had caught on fire from a nearby candle. One occupant grabbed a fire extinguisher and put the fire out before the crew arrived. Firefighters assisted with removing smoke and checked to insure the fire was completely out by using a thermal imaging camera. There were only moderate damage to the contents near the fire but no structural damage. Incidents like this demonstrate the importance of not leaving candles or cooking food unattended, fire officials said. 

On June 26, paramedics were called to evaluate a 87-year-old female who was having difficulty breathing at a nursing facility. Because she was not responding normally to the nursing staff, medics were requested to transport her to the hospital. Medics continued to provide oxygen and administered breathing medication during transport to the hospital. 

On June 26, paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision and found a 78-year-old male with pain in his right rib. The driver said he slid off the road and hit a group of 5-7 alders approximately 1-2 inches in diameter. The driver said he was not wearing a seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy, causing him to collide into the steering wheel with his chest. The patient was evaluated and transported to the hospital by medics. 

On June 27, paramedics were called to evaluate a 62-year-old male who reported of having some chest discomfort and fever for a week. The friend who called 911 said the patient needed to be transported to the hospital. Medics evaluated the patient and treated him during transport to the hospital.

On June 27, paramedics were called to assist an 89-year-old female who fell and needed assistance getting back to her room. After a brief evaluation by medics, she was found to be not injured. She was assisted back to her room and her vital signs were determined to be normal.

On June 28, paramedics were called to a local clinic to transport a 22-year-old male who reported of falling down four stairs after passing out. The patient did not remember the fall, but his girlfriend witnessed it through the peep hole on the front door. Patient was driven to the clinic by his girlfriend with significant lower back pain. Clinic staff immobilized the patient's neck and back, started an IV and gave pain medication. Patient was then transported to the hospital by medic crew.

On June 29, rescue crews were dispatched to a possible water rescue near . Secondary reports indicated it was simply a swamped boat that was being towed to shore by a jet ski. The mother and her four kids were already on shore when EMS crews arrived. They were wrapped in blankets and escorted to their nearby residence. No medical aid was required.
