On June 17, paramedics were called to evaluate a 72-year-old female found sleeping in her vehicle by a family member. When medics arrived, the woman said she had no problem and did not understand why EMS was contacted. She denied any symptoms or problems including, chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, headache or dizziness. She did not believe she needed to go to the hospital. However during the evaluation, medics noted an irregular heart rhythm from the EKG monitor, and she also had slurred speech and trouble balancing. The woman agreed to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

On June 18, firefighters were dispatched to a residential automatic fire alarm. The crowd heard activated smoke detectors and noticed a light haze through the first floor windows. Engine 56 was able to access the residence normally through an unlocked front door. There was a light haze throughout the first floor, and it smelled like burned food. The crew found a pot of burned boiled eggs on the stove still burning. They removed the pot to outside the residence, turned off the gas stove and rapidly searched for possible occupants. No one was home. There was no fire extension to any part of the home or cooking area. The homeowner arrived home shortly thereafter. The crew opened all the windows and doors to ventilate the residence until it was safe to be occupied by the homeowner. The alarm system was silenced and restored.

On June 18, firefighters were dispatched to a house fire. Multiple calls were received by 911 of heavy smoke, and one party reported seeing flames from the garage. The first crew that arrived to the area identified heavy smoke drifting southward. Upon arrival, they found a large burn pile in the backyard. The flames that were reported were mistaken for a large orange outdoor porch light directly above the burn pile. The crews canceled all other incoming units. A burn permit had not been obtained from the fire department. The homeowner was educated on burning regulations and advised that his property would not be compatible to burning due to its lot size.Β
