On Aug. 26, a woman passed out on her way into a local bank. Medics evaluated her and recommended that she go to the hospital for further evaluation. The woman however, said that she felt fine and would follow up with her doctor next week. Medics released her to her own care and told her not to hesitate to call 911 if she felt ill.

On Aug. 27, firefighters were dispatched to a boat sinking call. They arrived to find several people trying to bale water from the boat. The fire crew used a sump pump to remove the water until the police arrived. The boat was missing a plug, which was replaced. 

On Aug. 28, medics transported an 85-year-old woman who fell hitting her head on the kitchen table. 

On Aug. 28, in response to a burn complaint, firefighters found a pile of lumber being burned. They informed the burning party that there was a burn ban in effect, and that when lifted, only natural vegetation may be burned. They then helped the resident put out the fire.

On Aug. 28, medics responded to an elderly woman who complained of general weakness and wanted to be taken to a hospital. They transported the patient as requested.

On Aug. 30, a 5-year-old child, who was wearing a helmet, fell off his bike and landed on his head. Due to the fact that he could not recall the accident and felt drowsy and nauseated, paramedics transported him to the hospital for a possible concussion. 

On Aug. 30, a woman fell after becoming dizzy and hit her head on a cabinet. She told medics she had been sick with a cough, fever and dizziness for the last three days. After evaluation, medics transported her to the hospital for a hip fracture and further evaluation.

On Sept. 1, a local care facility called 911 for a resident who has Alzheimer’s and had become combative; which was out of character for this patient. Medics transported her to the hospital for evaluation.
