Fire Marshal Investigating Fire at RV Center

Police and firefighters responded to a fire at Fife RV Center on Pt. Fosdick Drive NW in Gig Harbor on Tuesday night.

The Pierce County Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed at least two RVs Tuesday night.

Gig Harbor police and fire departments responded to a blaze involving multiple trailers at Fife RV Center around 9 p.m.

Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One was able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes of the first unit’s arrival, according to its Twitter page.

The building also suffered minor damage.

The fire department said the RVs were at the dealership for service. No one was injured.

Patch will have more information as it becomes available.

On the news last night, they said that the people who's trailer was destroyed were staying there because one of their loved ones is in the hospital. I would like to know what has happened to them and if they now have a place to stay.

Ugh. That's not good, Starla. How many times a week do you and husband cross, or at least try toRead More cross that crosswalk.

I have seen orange flags (like the kind you use on the boat with a water skier) used at crosswalksRead More in Redmond. Perhaps putting a PVC pipe in the ground on either side of the road or attached to the nearby sign posts with a few flags inside for you to hold out/carry to the other side when you're crossing would be helpful?

Brent, we cross it about at least once a week.
