GHPD Blotter: Police Respond to Three Car Thefts in One Day

Motor Vehicle Theft: On Oct. 21, an unknown suspect(s) stole a 2003 white Chevy Tahoe from the parking lot. According to the victim, there were 5 TVs and a DVD system inside the car. Estimated value of loss was $4,000

Motor Vehicle Theft/Vehicle Recovery: On Oct. 21, police were dispatched to a car theft at 's parking lot. Four days later, the stolen vehicle was found on a dirt road off in the 1600 block of Stone Drive NW. The car's doors, hood, sunroof, trunk lid and some engine compartment were missing. The interior was also stripped out, and the steering column was held in place with rope. The license plate was missing as well. According to the tire marks in the dirt, police said the car had been brought to the site by a flatbed truck.

Warrant/Shoplifting/Arrest: On Oct. 24, policed arrested a 20-year-old man for shoplifting at . The security guards told police that the suspect was seen stuffing Skittles in his pants before leaving the store without paying. The man was also arrested for an outstanding warrant for third-degree theft. He was also trespassed from the property.

Warrant/Shoplifting/Arrest: On Oct. 24, police arrested a 28-year-old man for shoplifting at QFC. He took several items, including juice, gum and jerky, and put them in his jacket. He was arrested for third-degree theft and trespassed from the property.

Vehicle Prowl: Sometime between Oct. 21-22, an unknown suspect(s) stole golf clubs from a car in the 3700 block of 47th Street Court NW. Estimated value of loss was $2,000.

Reckless Endangerment/Unlawful Discharge of Firearm Within City Limits/Arrest: Around 6 a.m. on Oct. 26, police arrested two men for reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of firearm within city limits. According to officials, the men were using a Beretta M9 pistol to shoot at tree stumps in the 11800 block of 64th Avenue Court NW. They were transported to Pierce County Jail.
