GHPD Blotter: Police Taser, Arrest Man for Disorderly Conduct

Gig Harbor Police also responded to two reports of stolen catalytic converters at the Kimball Park and Ride.

Theft of Vehicle Part: On Aug. 30, an unknown suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim's car parked at , 10550 Harbor Hill.

Disorderly Conduct/Obstructing Investigation/Arrest: On Aug. 31, police were dispatched to an unwanted person at the , 7101 Pioneer Way. Witnesses told police the 31-year-old male suspect was using abusive language.

Once the suspect saw the police, he waved and ran toward the . The officer later located the suspect hiding behind some bushes. When the man jumped out, police used a taser to subdue him.

The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing a law enforcement officer. According to officials, he had prior records of resisting arrest and erratic behavior.

DWLS/Arrest: On Sept. 1, police arrested a 17-year-old woman in the 5000 block of North Creek Lane for a DWLS in the 3rd degree.

Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance/DUI: On Sept. 2, police arrested a 19-year-old man in the intersection of Sr 16 Hwy W and Olympic Drive NW for DUI and possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana. Police found a small bag of marijuana and an open beer can in the car.

Vehicle Prowl: On Sept. 7, police responded to a vehicle prowl at , 5408 36th Ave. NW. An unknown suspect(s) stole the victim's vehicle's rear tires and rims.

DUI/Possession of Someone Else's Identification/Arrest: On Sept. 6, police pulled over a 20-year-old male driver for non-functioning license plate lights in the 5000 block of Pt. Fosdick Drive. Upon investigation, police arrested the driver for DUI. They also cited four other passengers, three 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old males, for minor in possession/consumption of alcohol.

Theft of Vehicle Part: On Sept. 7, police responded to two separate reports of stolen catalytic converters from the victims' cars that were parked at the Kimball Park and Ride.

DWLS/Arrest: On Sept. 8, police pulled over a 47-year-old driver for speeding 32 mph in a posted 20 mph school zone in the 8400 block of Skansie Ave. NW. The driver was cited for DWLS in the 3rd degree and was issued verbal warnings for speeding and no insurance.

DWLS/Arrest: On Sept. 8, police arrested a 49-year-old woman in the 8500 block of Skansie Ave. NW for DWLS in the 3rd degree.

Warrant/Arrest: On Sept. 8, police arrested a 28-year-old woman in the 8500 of Skansie Ave. NW for DWLS in the 3rd degree and failure to transfer title within 45 days.
