Theft: Sometime between July 17 and 19, approximately 6 deep cell batteries were stolen from a Star lift that was parked behind .
Residential Burglary: Sometime between July 19 and 22, the victim noticed pry marks on the door of her house in the 10400 block of Peacock Hill Avenue. The door was secure and nothing was missing from the house.
Shoplifting: On July 20, police were dispatched to a shoplift report at Walgreens. The employee said a white male in his early twenties came into the store, selected three packages of white cotton shirts and left the store without paying. The suspect rode off in a teal-colored Ford sedan with two other men, according to the worker.
Burglary/Trespass Notification/Arrest: On July 21, police were dispatched to a shoplift at . The manager said the 15-year-old male took several sodas and left the store without paying. He and four other teens then began drinking the sodas outside the store. During the investigation, police noticed that the teen was arrested on July 6 for drinking a stolen beer from Safeway and was trespassed from the store. Due to the fact he was trespassed from Safeway and knowingly broke the law, he was arrested for second-degree burglary. In addition, the four teens were also trespassed from Safeway for a year.
Simple Assault/Eluding Police/DWLS/Arrest: On July 21, Gig Harbor Police assisted the Pierce County Sheriff's Department in the arrest of a 29-year-old man in the 14100 block of 95th Avenue NW. According to authorities, the suspect assaulted his girlfriend's 56-year-old mother and fled while being pursued by police. He was eventually arrested for simple assault, eluding police and third-degree DWLS.
Traffic Offense/Arrest: On July 22, police pulled over a 20-year-old man for not having his front vehicle plates near Pioneer Drive at Kimball Drive. The car also had a 15-inch radiating crack in the windshield. The driver had an outstanding warrant for second-degree DWLS for felony eluding. He also had two previous convictions for third-degree DWLS. The driver was cited for second-degree DWLS and an infraction for no proof of insurance. The car belonged to the 17-year-old female passenger, who had a second-degree DWLS for minor in possession of drugs. She was issued aid/abet second-degree DWLS.
Warrant/Arrest: On July 23, police arrested a 29-year-old man at the Kimball Park and Ride. According to records, the man had a Washington State Department of Corrections felony escape warrant issued on June 30, 2012.
Found Property/Narcotic Detection: On July 23, police were dispatched to a report of a disturbance in the 5900 block of Soundview Drive. During the investigation, officers smelled fresh marijuana in the apartment. The 21-year-old male suspect voluntarily turned over the pipe and marijuana.
Theft of Vehicle Part: On July 24, police were dispatched to a theft in the 5200 block of Olympic Drive NW. On July 19, the victim noticed that her car's front license plates were missing.
Vehicle Prowl: On July 25, police were dispatched to a vehicle prowl in the 6100 block of Soundview Drive. The victim witnessed three teen males inside her car that was parked near her apartment. Soon after, they all ran north and then west through the apartment complex. Nothing was taken from the car.
