GHPD Blotter: Vandalism At Michael's Crafts, Theft

March 2

1:53 p.m. – A woman who lives in the 4100 block of Sutherland Court called police to report that someone had broken into her SUV and stole her purse, sunglasses and a laptop.

5 p.m. – A woman who lives in the 6100 block of Soundview Drive reported that her debit card had been stolen. She told police she believed the suspect was a man whom she hired the day before to help clean her apartment. Charges included $600 in ATM withdrawals,  $378.55 at a Tacoma Music store and $105 at Safeway.

5:06 p.m. – A man reported that someone broke into his garage and stole several feet of copper wire.

March 4

9:19 a.m. – Someone got inside the new Michael’s Crafts store at 4109 Point Fosdick Dr., and vandalized the inside. The suspect took a paint pen and “tagged” the entire inside wall. The person also spray-painted “B3EARD” and “666” and a message about leaving the door open. Officers also found the adjacent building had been tagged with, “STOMPED ON BY B3EARD.”
