1:48 p.m.

At a Kohl’s store on Pt. Fosdick Drive, three juvenile females were caught shoplifting. A loss prevention employee at the store noticed one of the juveniles removing the tag from a pair of sunglasses and placing the sunglasses into her purse. The three proceeded to the juniors department, where one selected a tube top bra. Then they went to the lingerie department and selected bras and underwear. The employee checked the fitting rooms where she had seen them go with the merchandise and found the tags and hangers. The juveniles had gone into the fitting rooms with the merchandise and come out without anything in hand. Lastly, one juvenile had picked a ring from the jewelry department, taken it out of the package and slipped it in her pocket.

The employee confronted the girls outside the store. They admitted to stealing the merchandise, which was recovered and returned to the store. An officer arrived at the store and gave them notices of trespass. Two of the girls were released to their parents. The third was booked into Remann Hall. All three will be charged with theft in the third degree and one will be charged with minor in possession of tobacco for having a full pack of cigarettes in her purse.
