GHPD Blotter: Woman Busted for Possession of Meth

Burglary: On Sept. 9, an unknown suspect(s) entered three storage units at the , located at 11631 Burnham Dr. NW. One of the storage renters said all of the items were still in the unit, and the others were instructed to call the police if anything was missing.

DWLS/Arrest: On Sept. 9, police arrested a 25-year-old man in the 4800 block of Pt. Fosdick Drive NW for third-degree DWLS.

Theft/Arrest: On Sept. 11, police arrested an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man for leaving the restaurant without paying their $27 bill at , 3226 Harborview Dr. The suspects later said they left because they weren't feeling good at the time, according to the police report.

Vehicle Prowl: On Sept. 11, police responded to a vehicle prowl at the Kimball Park and Ride. The driver's window had been broken out and several items were stolen from the vehicle.

Vandalism: On Sept. 12, police were dispatched to Fife RV Center, 5304 Pt. Fosdick Dr. NW, after a passerby noticed that one of the recreational vehicles had a shattered window.

Shoplifting: On Sept. 13, a worker at the gas station, 7102 Stinson Ave., called police after a male suspect ran into the store, grabbed several bags of potato chips and left on foot.

DWLS/Arrest: On Sept. 13, police arrested a 21-year-old man in the 5100 block of Olympic Drive for DWLS.

Unlawful Delivery of Controlled Substance/Arrest: On Sept. 15, police arrested a 20-year-old man for an outstanding $25,100 warrant for failing to appear for third-degree malicious mischief arrest. The suspect told police he was on his way to , 4831 Pt. Fosdick Dr. NW, to buy $80 worth of methamphetamine from his dealer and offered to cooperate in arresting the seller.

Authorities agreed that if he successfully assisted in the bust, they would not add additional charges to his warrant arrest.

After spending several minutes in the store, police monitored the subjects as they exited Safeway and got in the car of the female dealer. Authorities instructed the man to put on the hood of his jacket if he had purchased the meth in the store. However, his hood was down. Officials stopped the vehicle shortly after and confirmed that the exchange had not occurred. After searching the car, they found a ziplock bag containing .9 grams of crystal meth, scale and pipe.

Police arrested the 47-year-old woman for possession of controlled substance with intent. Both suspects were taken to Pierce County Jail.
