GHPD: No Fees For Pierce County's False Alarm Program For Those In Gig Harbor

The department posted on its Facebook page that some Gig Harbor residents have mistakenly received billing invoices from Pierce County.

If you are a Gig Harbor resident, your mailbox shouldn't have a bill from Pierce County's False Alarm Reduction Program.

So says Gig Harbor Police, which issued the following on its Facebook page over the weekend:

Some Gig Harbor residents may have mistakenly received billing invoices from the Pierce County False Alarm Reduction Program (possibly through a company named ATB). There are no fees for residential alarms for RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF GIG HARBOR.

Now, as for people who don't live within the city limits, it's another story, the police department says.
