Gig Harbor Fire Department Commemorates 9/11

Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One joined the Tacoma Fire Department for the Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday.

Local residents and first responders, including , gathered at the Tacoma Firefighters Memorial in Ruston for the annual .

The Tacoma Fire Department holds the service every year to honor those who responded to the terror attacks 10 years ago. The ceremony on Sunday included a plaque unveiling, moment of silence and the ceremonial release of white doves.
