High School Seniors Learn Dangers of Drunk Driving

While the injuries were staged, the seniors at Gig Harbor, Peninsula and Henderson Bay High Schools witnessed a real-life scenario of drunk driving.

The graduating class from , and High Schools took part in the on Friday.

, along with and , organized the event, which included a scenario where two of the students were killed after a drunk driver collided with another car.

As Memorial Day, prom and graduation season approaches, the staged fatal crash was a reminder for students to make good choices and keep themselves and others safe while driving.

Throughout the week, the high schools learned about driving safety as part of the Teen Driving Awareness Week.
