News Nearby: Video Stills Show Trio Robbing US Bank in Lakewood

After robbing the bank and taking cash, witnesses told us they fled to a car parked behind the old QFC building. Officers found a blue Buick - which was reported stolen - abandoned with the doors open.

(Editor's note: The following is a report Patch received from Lakewood Police spokesman Chris Lawler.)

At 0923 hours, we got a call for an armed robbery at the US Bank 9310 Bridgeport Way SW.  Reports came in that three males wearing masks had come into the bank and jumped over the counters.  After robbing the bank and taking cash, witnesses told us they fled to a car parked behind the old QFC building.  It was described as a light blue Buick.

Another witness called in a few minutes later to say that the Buick was abandoned by the suspects in the 6400 block of Fairlawn and they were seen speeding away in a white SUV driven by a white female.  When officers got to that location, they found the blue Buick abandoned with the doors open.  It turns out the Buick was a reported stolen vehicle.  No one in the bank was hurt and no shots were fired.

Thank you, Akiko! Just wondering if there was some other reason for it that I didn't see. :)

No problem. Welcome Brent. By the way, I'm a graphic artist, have any need for ad design?
