Police Arrest Two Suspects for Arson and Burglary

Gig Harbor Police arrested an 18-year-old man and a juvenile accomplice for arson and burglary at Baby, Beau and Belle in November 2010.

On March 9, police arrested 18-year-old Sergio A. Ibarra and a juvenile accomplice for burglary and arson. Ibarra is a resident in the Gig Harbor area.

Last year, officials responded to a structure fire at Baby, Beau and Belle located in the 7800 block of Skansie Avenue on Nov. 7. They later determined that the fire was arson. The suspects also took two computers and an iPod from the children's clothing store.Β

In December, police said detectives from Gig Harbor and Pierce County investigated a burglary in which the victim provided information that connected Ibarra to the burglary and the arson.

After interviewing Ibarra, they said he admitted to both crimes, including the arson and burglary at Baby, Beau and Belle with the juvenile accomplice. In addition, Ibarra confessed to committing another burglary at the same location two years prior.
