City of Gig Harbor to Honor Volunteer for 4 Decades of Service

Kae Patterson of Gig Harbor has served on the Citizen's Advisory Board, Peninsula Advisory Commission, Gig Harbor Planning Commission and Gig Harbor Design Review Board.

The will recognize local resident Kae Patterson at its July 23 City Council meeting. Patterson will be honored for serving for four decades on local boards, committees and commission, which have shaped the Gig Harbor community. 

In the early 1970’s, Patterson began her community support in her own neighborhood. She became a well-known community activist serving on the original Citizen’s Advisory Board, the Peninsula Advisory Commission, the Gig Harbor Planning Commission, and most recently on the Gig Harbor Design Review Board.

Patterson was previously recognized by the city of Gig Harbor with the Carol Gorman Memorial Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award.

Mayor Chuck Hunter and the Gig Harbor City Council will recognize Patterson’s lifelong dedication to the community with a cake and coffee reception at 5 p.m. and a presentation at the beginning of the City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
