City Seeking Applications for Art Commission

The City of Gig Harbor is accepting applications from anyone who lives or work within city limits.

The City of Gig Harbor is issuing a call for citizens interested in serving on the Gig Harbor Art Commission. Commission members shall be selected for a three-year term and live or work within city limits.

The Art Commission will, on behalf of the city, further the development and public awareness of, and interest in, the fine and performing arts; provide recommendations to the Mayor and City Council in connection with cultural and artistic endeavors and projects in which the city becomes involved, and to act as representative of the community in such matters. 

The commission shall meet quarterly on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Civic Center. The position is strictly voluntary and is not subject to compensation by the City.

Anyone who is interested in serving on the Art Commission should submit a completed application and resume or list of experience in addition to a letter of inquiry to the Mayor, City of Gig Harbor, 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, WA  98335 no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012.
