Free boating safety equipment inspections available at the Gig Harbor Civic Center (if your boat is on a trailor). Just bring your boat to the Civic Center and a marine officer will complete a boat safety inspection form with you. If your boat is moored at one of the local marinas, just call at (253) 250-1781 and the Gig Harbor Police Marine Patrol will send an officer to your boat to compete the inspection. This year, if you are 40 years or younger you are required to have a boater education card. If you have questions contact GHPD Officer Mike Allen at 253 853 2428.
