Learn, Share Your Thoughts About Future of Ancich Property

The City of Gig Harbor is hosting an open house May 22, where it will share the findings of two recent stakeholder workshops on the city owned property.

  • WHAT: Open house on Ancich Property
  • WHEN: 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., May 22
  • WHERE: Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview St.

Have something to say about the future of the Ancich Property?

You'll get the chance to share your thoughts during an open house hosted by the city. During the open house, the city will share the findings of two recent stakeholder workshops hosted by the Gig Harbor Parks Commission.

In April 2013 stakeholders worked collaboratively to establish common goals for the site as well as schematic space planning outlines. The open house will provide the public an opportunity to review findings, learn next steps, and provide input into the process.

The City of Gig Harbor purchased the Ancich waterfront property at 3518 Harborview Drive in August of 2012 to add to the waterfront park system. In February of 2013, City Council requested the Parks Commission facilitate a community visioning process for the future of the property. Through the input of a broad community-based stakeholders committee of volunteers, a formal prioritized list of recommended uses will be forwarded to the City Council by early fall.
