MONDAY: Public Hearing On Proposed 50-Cent Narrows Bridge Toll Increase Over Two Years

The first of two public hearings on a proposed 25-cent increase to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge toll is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., tonight at the Gig Harbor Civic Center.
The Washington State Transportation Commission is proposing a 25-cent rate increase for this July 1, 2013, and a second .25 cent rate increase for July 1, 2014.
The commission says the proposed rate increase "was arrived at based upon the recommendation submitted by the TNB Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) at the Commission's Februrary 2013 meeting."
