Happy Presidents Day! Find out which offices and businesses will be open on this federal holiday:

City of Gig Harbor: Closed.

Peninsula School District (including private schools that follow the District calendar): Closed (Classes resume Monday, Feb. 28 after mid-winter break.)

Garbage, recycling and yardwaste collection: Crews will picked them up as usual.

Pierce County government: Closed.

Pierce Transit: . 

Pierce County Library System: .

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound: Open.

Gig Harbor Family YMCA: Open from 4:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

Womens Wellness Center at Pt. Fosdick: Closed.

State liquor stores: Most will be open.

Washington State Ferries: All routes will operate on a normal schedule.

Federal government (including the U.S. Postal Service): Closed to honor Washington's Birthday.

Banks: Many, if not most, will be closed.

Express delivery companies: FedEx and UPS will be open.
