POLL: Gregoire Pushes To Reclassify Marijuana
The governors of Washington and Rhode Island want doctors to be able to prescribe it and pharmacists to fill prescriptions. They filed a petition with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration today.
News sites are abuzz right now with news that Gov. Christine Gregoire is one of two governors who filed a petition with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to reclassify marijuana.
According to the Associated Press, Gregoire and Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee want to allow the drug for medical treatment, joining a national debate over the medicinal benefits of marijuana.
