State Liquor Store in Gig Harbor To Close Monday

Dozens of state-owned liquor stores are scheduled to close between Monday and Thursday next week.

With private stores getting ready to enter to the liquor business in Washington, the state Liquor Control Board has released a schedule of several-dozen liquor stores that it will close next week.

The list - which covers the last remaining stores operated by the state - includes one location in Gig Harbor. On Monday, May 28, the state will close the store at .

Other nearby locations include several in Port Orchard, University Place and Tacoma:

  • Monday: 2627 N. Pearl St., Tacoma
  • Tuesday: in University Place; 1948 SE Lund Ave. in Port Orchard
  • Wednesday: 3840 Pacific Ave., Ste. 102, Tacoma
  • Thursday: 7048 Pacific Ave., Tacoma; 3208 S. 23rd St., No. 1, Tacoma; 3610 S. Pine, Tacoma
