Will You Watch the 2013 Presidential Inauguration?

On Monday, President Barack Obama will start his second term of office. Will you be watching?

On Monday, Jan. 21, President Barack Obama will be sworn in for his second term as president.

Actually, his official swearing in will take place in private the day before, on Jan. 20, as set out in the Constitution. But since Jan. 20 is a Sunday, the inaugural festivities will be delayed by one day, as is traditional, to Jan. 21.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. Pacific time, viewers of the Presidential Inauguration will be treated to all the pomp and circumstance they could want, including a ceremonial swearing in, inaugural address, parade and national anthem sung by Beyonce.

The inauguration will be carried on all major networks.

Obama's first inauguration stirred up a lot of excitement, but that may have ebbed somewhat for his second term. Do you plan to watch the inauguration?

No, I will not. I don't think he deserves to be in office. People need to wake up.
Galen Hansen January 21, 2013 at 01:21 pm
I wouldn't waste my time on that. He does not, and never did, deserve to hold the office for which he is not qualified.

of course not! Why waste my time watching the dog and pony show put on for the sheep, by the sheep.
Gregory Krejci January 21, 2013 at 03:06 pm

NO! I have had enough of hope and change. I am just looking for the change part now. Unfortunately it will take another 4 years but I have high hopes for 2014.

Of course I watched it! I have never been so proud to be an American, a Christian, and a woman! Time to get past the sour grapes and help this country do everything it is capable of doing, for ALL of the citizens.
Gregory Krejci January 21, 2013 at 06:22 pm
It isn't about Sour grapes. It's about the disaster in Libya, about our economy that he will still blame on Bush four years later:bypassing our own constitution on all sorts of things, and his total disdain for our military.

Talking points straight from Faux Noise. All invalid whether you spout them or they do. Again, time to think for yourself and pull together with the rest of America.

I don't even watch Fox News and I do think for myself. I even listen to NPR, for that matter. I'm done..

The boat is heading toward the Tacoma side of the bridge. Gig Harbor is well astern. If the tideRead More is going out, and the boat maintains its heading, it will wind up at Sunset Beach off to the left of the picture.

Ugh. That's not good, Starla. How many times a week do you and husband cross, or at least try toRead More cross that crosswalk.
Brooke Judge June 13, 2013 at 10:07 am
I have seen orange flags (like the kind you use on the boat with a water skier) used at crosswalksRead More in Redmond. Perhaps putting a PVC pipe in the ground on either side of the road or attached to the nearby sign posts with a few flags inside for you to hold out/carry to the other side when you're crossing would be helpful?
Starla Storset June 15, 2013 at 11:10 am
Brent, we cross it about at least once a week.
