We spoke last time about how it was to make mindful decisions concerning healthy behavior choices. Today I would like to explore boundaries when it comes to these choices. Boundaries are parameters that need to fit into your life and feel comfortable to you. For most of us "I am going to run 10 miles each day" is expanded way too much. Lets look at the word 'expanded' when thinking about boundaries. At one point many many moons ago I decided that what I would like is to be able to run, bike or hike if the notion came to me. Those expanded boundaries set in motion, one step at a time many new activities in my life that offered me a level of fitness to participate in these activities. My success in this was largely because the expansion fit into my life at the moment.
Aim for success by allowing for boundaries that are comfortable to you in the moment. You already started by being mindful of you decisions! Next time we will talk about standards.
