Last time I spoke about being mindful of the decisions you make each day that contribute to a healthy and balanced life. What did you think when you did this? Maybe you could not figure out how to do it. Being mindful is being present in the moment and recognizing what you do and think instead of having your actions happen as REACTIONS. Reaching for some candy when stressed...not thinking about how you might fit exercise into your day...saying yes to just one more thing that you can not fit in. These are reactions. You may in the end decide the same thing but you will do it mindfully this time. In the next mindful moment you might however pass up the cookie, realize you have some time to walk for 10 min or decide, no to the next time request.
Maintaining and managing your health requires personal input but you do not have to be perfect in your attempts. You do have to try and have self - compassion when it might not work out as fast as you wish. Hang in there and celebrate your successes.
