Lately I've been in the mood for adventures. The word Staycation takes on new meaning when you decide to explore what is around your own town. I had seen various parks listed on the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce website and the name Adam Tallman stood out. Not because I know Adam Tallman....uh, who is Adam Tallman???....but because of the fact that I had never been to that park. It was listed as a small oasis in the middle of town. Well I assure you, it is! It was indeed right in the middle of town hidden behind some buildings. It actually is part of a nature trail, and wetlands. The trail transverses the Wagner Way Rd. You can either enter the trail from one side of the road or the other. Once you step onto the trail, you are transported into a wonderland. You see various trees, plant life, birds. and its sooo quiet. Above you, you hear the occasional car going by, but its so surreal, like you aren't even in town! I totally recommend this park for a quick escape from the maddening town that is Gig Harbor....all kidding aside, its so pretty and adds even more to the charm of our town.
