My New Year's Resolution Solution

A middle aged mom's determination to get rid of the pregnancy weight that has lingered for 20 years!

Let's face it...year after year its the same ole thing: indulge on those delectable gingerbread cookies and then go to Costco and stock up on healthy stuff and work out machines. Is there any end to this treadmill? Pardon the pun. Yes there is! It's called healthy lifestyle. I had been pretty "religious" about eating right, but the exercise part alluded me until now. I recently bought a Wii Fit that I had once before and it's been such a blessing. I have determined to step up my work out routine more and more. We do have a total gym, and its been sitting there waiting for us to use it. We do say hi to it once in a while, but my motivation was not there. The Wii Fit has been more fun to use. Us Washington folks deal with the issues of weather weather weather...and unless you want to fork over the money to go to a gym, you can tend to default to the couch or chair potatoness that happens in winter. I realized that with the total gym and the Wii, I have all I need to work out. So I'm determined! I will keep you posted too. They say that new year's resolutions, especially the ones to lose weight are defeated in the first month...I'm hoping to beat that trend by being consistant. Consistancy is always the key. So onward to less poundage, and more fitness! And the new burger places that come here will have to wait for me to darken their door....a few hundred calories burned and then we shall see!

I think they are opening up those new burger places just to sabotage you!! But seriously, keep up the good work. You are inspiring me to think about maybe someday possibly working out :)
