My Pilgrimage Back to iPhone After Brief Stint With Android Platform

A comparison between Android and iPhone from personal experience.

I thought I'd give my 2 cents in regards to technology because there must be someone out there who ponders whether to get an Android Phone or an iPhone. I know the answers can be as varied as there are people, but here is my take from personal experience:

Back in 2009, I got an iPhone 3G. I then graduated to the 3GS and in June 2010 I waited on line like a nut at the Tacoma Mall and got the iPhone 4. I was very happy with the iPhone 4, but in February 2011, AT&T announced its progress into 4G speeds and it had the phones to prove it.

Well, I thought, why not try something different? I'm a quasi geek so why not?

Well, in February, I sold my iPhone for more than I paid for it over eBay, then bought the HTC Inspire. At first I was enthralled with the various customizations of the home screen and the animations, and the fact that it can display Flash sites.

I enjoyed the Android Market but was disappointed that many of the Apps I really loved from the iTunes Store were not there. The Apps I did find were cheaply produced and did not have the clean look. As the months rolled on, I realized something important was missing: In fact, a few important things.

They were: being able to weed through the contact list and find who you are looking for, and being able to have a clear phone conversation.

Yes, it is a phone after all. When it came to comparing the two platforms, I saw clearly that iPhone was more stable, and more reliable.

Yes, Android had various things that made it interesting, but when it comes to using your phone for business, and personal, then interesting plus reliability are a necessary combination.

So, last month, I sold my HTC Inspire over eBay for more than I paid for it, and got my iPhone 4 back. And I couldn't be happier that I decided to come back to Apple. I hope this blog answers any questions anyone would have, but if you have more questions, please contact me.
