The Great Wheel of Seattle...A Memorable Experience

The Great Wheel of Seattle is a nice addition to the Waterfront!

Seattle has gotten its version of the London Eye! The Great Wheel opened on June 29th and its worth checking out!

This summer so far is a memorable one for me. My daughter has moved back to Washington State from Florida, my son got engaged, and.....we checked out the Great Wheel of Seattle yesterday. Yes, the Great Wheel IS a memorable activity because it's more than just going on a "carnival ride", a Ferris wheel, on a balmy summer night. This is an epic experience!! Let me explain.

First of all, it's the highest Ferris wheel on the West Coast. As you approach the area where it is, you are taken aback by the enormity of it! The Wheel goes up 200 ft.

2nd, the cabs that you ride in are top notch, enclosed, air-conditioned, comfortable cabs. I felt like ordering "room service" but that would be difficult for sure!

3rd, the ride is not a quick go around and then you're done..no...its a slow-moving wheel. You go around 3 times, and it feels like a very nice, comfortable ride. The advantage of that is you take in the gorgeous views of the sound and the piers. I know many tourists will enjoy this. The price is fair, $13 for adults and $8 for kids. Not something you would pay for every day, but a one-time thing per month I think would be fun. Next, I plan on going when it's nighttime to see the LED light show! If you are planning a Seattle trip, check out the Great Wheel, you will enjoy it.

No problem. Welcome Brent. By the way, I'm a graphic artist, have any need for ad design?
