I came up with a saying regarding Washington's seasons. Yes we have 4 seasons but we dont know when they will be. There is some truth to that. After all, last year, summer started showing up in September. This year, thankfully, it's been normal despite the Juneuary gloom.
Oh well such is life in the Pacific Northwest. Gotta love it. And love it I do. Since July 4th this year, it was as if someone turned on the summer switch and its been staying on pretty much consistantly (with abbreviated rain here and there which we need). Anyway, I'm hoping this streak does stay throughout September in time for the Puyallup Fair!
Ordering up a nice long streak of mild yet warmish weather!! Perfect! Our summers basically are July August and September but who cares? As long as it gets here. People who visit this area during the summer basically decide they want to live here, thats how gorgeous it is. We have so much to be thankful for.
I love September festivals too such as the Blackberry festival. That's when my hubby and I splurge on a bottle of that blackberry wine. It's a yearly treat which lasts us about, ummmmm 2 weeks LOL.
But anyway....enjoy the last hurrahs of summer!
