We hardly go to sandwich shops, well ones that offer cold sandwiches. The main reason is because my husband makes a New York style sandwich very well. What is a New York style sandwich you ask? One that has lots of meat!!! That's what I remember as a child going to the many delis in NY. But back to Jersey Mikes. I was very impressed with the decor of the store. I love the deli case which shows the quality of the meats right out in front. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, which was a mistake. It had to be remade 3 times. Because of that, we got 2 free gift cards and our money back. The guy who was training people actually was very proactive and noticed how bad the sandwich looked and remade it himself. He then confided in me that he does not like that particular sandwich. It's difficult to get the sauce and temperature just right. He prefers cold sandwiches. I can understand why. He also said that they will perfect it eventually. My husband had a cold sandwich with italian meat in it..... His only complaint was that there wasn't enough meat. Ha! Well, if everyone made sandwiches like he does, they would go out of business quickly. They care about their customers and with time, they will be one of the best places to go for a sandwich.
