As summer comes upon us, we turn our attention to the outdoors....(as long as it isnt inclement weather). I know many have heard me mention this park before, but it's worth repeating. The Sehmel Homestead Park is more than great...It's an AMAZING Park! There is so much to love about this place. What don't you find at the park? OK, a Blazing Onion. Oh well, you can't have everything. But they have soccer fields, and baseball diamonds and beautiful trails with a boardwalk!. As soon as you start walking on them, you feel like you are miles away from civilization. There is a wonderful playground for kids! And swings even for adults who love to be kids. They have a nice building for community activities, and very well kept facilities. They even have a bit of heritage there, about the Sehmel family. You see the Old Alice apple tree, as well as plaques tell you about the history of the land. I really appreciated reading that. It's a family park to the nth degree!
