Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is a means to prepare citizens to care for themselves during a disaster when services may not be adequate. CERT training is for everyone.

The CERT course will benefit any citizen who takes it. The training will provide needed life saving skills with emphasis on decision making skills, rescuer safety, and doing the greatest good for the greatest number. The CERT course graduate will be better prepared to respond to and cope with the aftermath of a disaster

Peninsula CERT will be offering training soon. Open to everyone, with teens 14 years and older welcome. Attendees will learn emergency preparedness and disaster response skills with a hands-on focus. In addition, attendees will build their own response kit. The course consists of disaster fire suppression, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, disaster psychology and team organization.

When: May 5, 12 & 19 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Class Size: 25
