Gig Harbor’s Midday Rotary Club has named Jessica Bylin as its February 2013 Student of the Month.
The senior at Gig Harbor High School maintains a 3.7 GPA and is an officer of the Gig Harbor High School Interact club. She has participated in TideFest, Harbor Hounds, Polio Car Wash, Etta bracelet fundraiser and the Basket Brigade.
Bylin is also actively involved with sports including varsity cross country and track and field and recreational soccer for the past 11 years.
During her 2012 cross country season, she received the WIAA Outstanding Scholastic Award. Bylin was also the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards participant in 2012.
Bylin and her parents have been invited to a Rotary-hosted luncheon to recognize her success and to present her with a certificate of achievement.
