Gig Harbor’s Midday Rotary Club has named Kristen Murray as its March 2012 Student of the Month.
The senior at Gig Harbor High School maintains a 3.9 GPA, has been actively involved in the Interact Club for the last 3 years and is currently serving her second term as the President. Murray has run cross country for for the last 4 years and has received four varsity letters and the Coaches Award.
Murray is the VP for the Meistersingers, participates in choir and has been in 3 school musicals. She is a member of the National Honor Society, tutors math, was a Girl Scout for 6 years and worked on many community service projects to help those in need.
Murray and her parents have been invited to a Rotary-hosted luncheon to recognize her achievement and to present her a Certificate of Achievement.
