Midday Rotary's November Student of the Month: Philip Leander

Leander is a senior at Gig Harbor High School.

Gig Harbor’s Midday Rotary Club has named Philip Leander as its November, 2011 Student of the Month.

The senior at carries a 3.5 GPA. He is active in Leadership at school, volunteers with the and is involved with Young Life.

Leander is also the vice president of the South Sound Philanthropic Society, which is one of only eight in the country. He sits on a board of 14 students from around the South Sound to help fund projects that will directly impact youth in the community. 

Leander and his parents have been invited to a Rotary-hosted luncheon to recognize his achievement and to present him a Certificate of Achievement.
