November Student of the Month: Bjorn Brynestad
Gig Harbor High School senior Bjorn Brynestad mentors freshmen and is an active member with Young Life.
Gig Harbor’s Midday Rotary Club has named Bjorn Brynestad as its November 2012 Student of the Month.
A senior at Gig Harbor High School, Brynestad maintains a 3.85 Grade point average, has been actively involved in Young Life at Harbor Ridge Middle School and for the last four years has participated in building homes for the less fortunate with Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church.
He also mentors freshmen at Gig Harbor High School. Throughout the last four years, Brynestad has taken on leadership roles as one of Gig Harbor High School’s varsity tennis captains. He has earned four varsity letters for the GHHS soccer team and plays for the Washington Premier Football Club.

Brynestad and his parents have been invited to a Rotary-hosted luncheon to recognize his achievement and to present him a certificate of achievement.
