October Student of the Month: Hannah Long

The Gig Harbor’s Midday Rotary Club has named Hannah Long as its October, 2012 Student of the Month.

The senior at Gig Harbor High School is a member of the National Honor Society and has earned the honor of AP Scholar, a designation awarded based on AP test scores.

Long is the president of the Gig harbor High School Interact Club and senior captain for the cross country team. She also runs track and has served on four mission trips, as well as the team captain for Relay for Life.

Long is also a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist for her high standardized test scores from her junior year.

Long and her parents have been invited to a Rotary-hosted luncheon to recognize her achievement and to present her a certificate of achievement.
