Four Candidates Vie for School Board Seat

The Peninsula School District Board of Directors will be holding an interview session in search for a new school board member at its meeting tonight. The public is invited to attend the meeting at 5:30 p.m.

The Peninsula School District Board of Directors will be holding an interview session in search for a new school board member at its meeting tonight.

The board members will be questioning four applications, who have submitted a letter of interest to serve on the seat, vacated by John Earl.

The has accepted applications from four District 5 residents: Rick Jones, Vashti Escobedo, Tom Leander and Curt Carroll.

The candidate selected for the seat will serve the remainder of Earl's seat until November 2013.

The school board meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Peninsula School District offices. The public is invited to the interview session.
