Suspicious Man Reported in Purdy, Artondale Neighborhoods

The man is described to be in his mid-20s, Caucasian with reddish-brown hair and he has been seen driving a dark green, dented, compact vehicle.

A Gig Harbor parent and Patch reader shared this email that the Peninsula School District sent out on Tuesday:

The District has received complaints about a man approaching kids and parents in the Purdy and Artondale neighborhoods allegedly selling educational materials or summer education classes door-to-door.

A parent reported aggressive, repeated sales tactics and kids reported, to their parents, the man asking them to identify where kids lived and they declined.

The District and its representatives are not associated with this individual and do not endorse his materials.

The man is described to be in his mid-20s, Caucasian with reddish-brown hair and he has been seen driving a dark green, dented, compact vehicle.

If you have had negative interaction with this individual and wish to report him to the authorities, please contact law enforcement serving your area.

This is a prime opportunity, with summer break fast approaching, to remind children about personal safety.
