It's that time of year again; back-to-school shopping for new supplies and clothes, a fresh haircut for school pictures, and time to plan out the family calendar for the 2012-2013 school year.
So when exactly is the first day of school for students enrolled in the , you ask?
It's Tuesday, Sept. 4! For kindergarteners, first day of school is Sept. 5.
And here's a rundown of vacation days for the rest of the school year:
- Nov. 12 No School — Veterans Day (observed)
- Nov.22-23 No School — Thanksgiving Break
- Dec. 24–Jan. 4 No School — Winter Break
- Jan. 21 No School — MLK Jr. Day
- Feb. 18-22 No School— Mid-Winter Break
- March 15 No School or Snow Make-up Day
- April 15-19 No School—Spring Break
- May 27 No School — Memorial Day
- June 16 / Graduation
The final day of school will be June 18 (barring another snow storm, which may result in additional make up days). The final day of school will be a half-day for all students.
