Boys Lacrosse: Harbor Fire Suffers First Loss of the Season

Harbor Fire high school boys lacrosse fell to Overlake, 13-7, on Friday.

GIG HARBOR – Barrett Jenness hit four goals to lead Overlake to a 13–7 boys high school lacrosse win over Harbor Fire, Friday at .  The win was the second of the year for the Owls, while Harbor dropped its first, slipping to 2–1.

The Owls and Gig Harbor matched goal-for-goal in the first each tallying two each before Overlake broke the game open with four unanswered goals in the second.  The Redmond school picked up in the second half adding another five to take an 11–5 lead into the final quarter.  In the end both teams each added a pair in the fourth to round out the scoring. 

Jenness, a junior attackman, added four ground balls in the win and combined with juniors Eric Risa and Kinori Rosnow for 33 ground balls to lead the Owl defense.  Harbor’s Cody Olson had two goals, 3 assists and two ground balls in the loss.
