Activity #710 - Sehmel Homestead Park June 27-July 25th

4 sessions - on Wednesdays  5:30 - 6:30pm - $40.00

QuickStart Tennis is a new format to help children 12 and under learn and  play the game of tennis. To make it easier for them, a few things have  changed.

  • The court size.
  • The racquet sizes.
  • The balls.
  • The scoring  system.
  • The height of the nets.

The changes really work, because now any child between ages 5 and 12 can start playing tennis  almost immediately - even if he or she has never picked up a racquet  before.  Just like other popular youth sports, QuickStart Tennis stresses  the importance of actually playing the game of tennis and getting involved in team competition.  QuickStart Tennis is also now part of the  USTA Jr. Team Tennis league and Clarke-Oconee Tennis Association (COTA) Junior Team Tennis. This means that even more children will have  the opportunity to experience this new format, have fun playing with  their friends and develop skills that will become the foundation of  their game.

QuickStart Tennis an exciting new play
format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing
specialized equipment, short court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored
to age and size. Learn to play tennis by having fun with specialized equipment,
short courts, and modified scoring. It's the fast, fun way to get kids into
tennis and keep them playing.

Wear athletic clothes and shoes, bring a
water bottle.
